Cedar
Cedar came to us in 2011 and was our first dog that we imported from Statesman Welsh Springer Spaniels, Georgia, USA. She is a fun, loyal, affectionate dog. Eager to please and easy to train, she has a wonderful temperament. She began Agility classes in 2016 and loved it. She is now a 'senior', but still is the best at fetch!
Ralph
Ralph is our boy from Ruby's first litter and has proved to be a wonderful addition to the family. Ralph obtained a Best Baby Puppy in Group at the age of fifteen weeks. After several Best of Breed wins, in May 2016 he obtained a Group First at the Comox Valley Kennel Club show. The following week saw him finish his Championship with even more ‘Best of Breed’ placements, as well as Best in Group in the Breeder/Owner/Handler class. He has a RATI title and is enjoying tracking. He had his OFA health tests done in May 2017 and his results are hips: Good, elbows: Normal, Thyroid: Normal. The CERF eye test is also normal. Ralph gained his Tracking Dog title in October 2018.
Anna
Anna is from our “Rain” litter, born on 21st November 2017, and we are looking forward to participating in different activities with her. She has 'excellent' hips, 'normal' elbows and normal thyroid. Cerf eye test is also normal. She had her first litter of puppies in February 2021 and did an excellent job of raising them.
These dogs are family raised and live with us indoors in a warm, loving home environment. They love to spend time outside, whether it's 'helping' in the yard or hiking the trails of Strathcona Provincial Park.
In Memoriam
Ruby joined us in 2012 and was an energetic, happy and loving dog. In 2015, she achieved her CKC Championship and had several group placements, BOB, BOW and Best Puppy in Group. She had three litters over the years and produced her own Canadian Championship dogs. She also enjoyed being introduced to Barn Hunt, achieving her RATI title. Unfortunately, we lost Ruby in March 2021 to lymphoma and miss her tremendously. We were happy that she was able to meet her grand-puppies.
Our Breeding Philosophy
Health and temperament are most important to us for our dogs, and our goal is to produce healthy, happy family companions. Our dogs are CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) and OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) health tested. Please note that we share health information on our website, register all breed-required genetic health test results with the OFA database and require health tests on all puppies, not just show prospects. ALL dog breeders can have health issues in their puppies, and it is through this testing that the occurrence of health problems can be reduced.
